Officer Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification:
|
1. Junior Translation Officer - Master's degree from a recognized University
in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of
examination at the Degree level; OR Master's degree from a recognized University
in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of
examination at the Degree level; OR Master's degree from a recognized University
in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi medium and English as
a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the Degree
level; OR Master's degree from a recognized University
in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English medium and Hindi as
a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the
Degree level; OR Master's degree from a recognized University
in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and English as
compulsory or elective subjects or either of the two as a medium of
examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at Degree
level; AND Recognized Diploma or Certificate Course in
Translation from Hindi to English and vice-versa or two years' experience of
translation work from Hindi to English and vice-versa in Central or State
Government office, including Government of India undertakings. |

The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years

India rules. Candidates Relaxation in Upper Age limit will be provided as per

ISRO HSFC Junior Translation Officer
Selection Process 2021:
WRITTEN TEST:
a. The written test consists of Part-A
(Objective type questions); and Part-B (Descriptive type questions) for 100
marks.
b. Objective type questions in Part-A (50
questions) carry one mark each.
c. Descriptive type questions in Part-B
consist of (i) two passages for translation carrying 20 marks each; and (ii)
expansion of a given thought (any two out of four thoughts) carrying 5 marks
each.
d. The written test shall be for a
duration of two hours (120 minutes).
e. Those who secure minimum 60% marks in
the written test shall be declared as qualified in the written test.
SKILL TEST:
a. The skill Test consists of (i) two
passages for precis writing, carrying 20 marks each; and (ii) two passages for
translation from Hindi to English and vice versa, carrying 30 marks each.
b. The Skill test shall be for a duration
of two hours (120 minutes)
c. Skill Test shall be purely on go-no-go
basis and marks obtained in the skill test shall not be considered for
selection.
d. Those who secure minimum 60 % marks in
the skill test shall be declared as qualified. E. The answer scripts of skill
test in respect of candidates who secure minimum 60 % marks in WRITTEN TEST
PAPER only shall be evaluated.
FINAL SELECTION: The final selection will be done
amongst qualified candidates, purely based on the scores obtained in the
written test. From amongst candidates who qualify in the Skill test, with
minimum 60% marks, empanelment shall be done in the order of marks obtained in
the written test.
Application Fee/Exam Fee for ISRO HSFC
Junior Translation Officer:
There will be an Application Fee of Rs.
250/- (Rupees Two Hundred and Fifty only) (Non-refundable) for male UR and OBC
Candidates for each application. Candidates may make the payment 'online' using
Internet Banking / Credit Card/ Debit Card or 'Offline' by visiting nearest SBI
Branch. Candidates after submitting their application can pay application fee
immediately or any day before the last date for fee payment i.e. 20-11-2021.
The last date for submitting online application is 20-11-2021.

will be hosted in the ISRO web-site www.isro.gov.in during the period from
30-10-2021 to 20-11-2021. Candidates may visit our website to register their
applications on-line between 30-10-2021 and 20-11-2021 Applications will be
received through on-line only.
